A tone Into the Mind of Students and Video Games
College is a great time and we sign up to embark on new journeys. We are open to reserve our own decisions and it allows us to rely on ourselves. College allows us to profit new friends and say goodbye to old ones; college in like manner gives us free time and her lies the problem. As students we have a dish up of free time and whether we choose to do our family unitwork, watch idiot box or play photo games are decisions have an belief on our minds. I want to explore the world of video games and its effect on the mind. The world of video games has taken everyplace our generation and through real interviews, surveys and sources available to me I go forth discover what really goes on in the mind of students present at Bethel and across the nation.
The first video game was invented, in 1958, by a man named William Higginbotham who was a nuclear physicist whose preliminary project was the Manhattan project. (Gettler) He created a game called Tennis for both which was a game hooked up to two controllers to an additive computer where a screen displayed the game.
Who would of thought in the close fifty years that a simple game using two controllers with cords would transform into a wireless gambling nation where you could play someone half-way around the World. The first home playing period systems were introduced in the 1970s with the Magnavox Odyssey. (Johnson) Then in 1975 pong hit the streets and became a house hold essential. pong revolutionized gaming because it allowed people to play against one an other(a) in a competitive gaming situation. Pong and Magnavox would battle against each other for a few years but essentially Atari, the makers of Pong would reign victorious. It seemed as though every year a new gaming system was being introduced and it wasnt until 1985 when the NES also k forthwithn as the Nintendo Entertainment System was introduced.
