Causes of deviant behavior in schools

Cases of deviant behaviors among school children have been on the increase over the past years. Researchers attribute these Causes of deviant behavior in schools in schools to student backgrounds; poverty; effects of the mass media; lack of vocational preparations; peer pressure/influence.

To begin with, the mass media has a negative effect on school children, more specifically the violent content that are aired in the television or in cinemas. It is believed that children believe what they see in the media more than what happens in the real life. School children who watch too many fights in the television or read pornographic materials on the internet begin to develop certain characteristics that affect the people around them negatively.

Research also shows that students who come from abusive parents also display characteristics of abusive persons. Such children for instance end up beating their fellow playmates without feeling any kind of remorse. On the other hand, students brought up by uncaring parents usually portray delinquent behaviors. They resort to criminal activities to achieve what they could not get from their parents. Such students take part in criminal activities such as stealing, rioting/rebellion among others. The society also models the behavior of people.

The attitudes that other people have concerning their fellow human race lead to rebellion from the marginalized group. Such people who are neglected by the society, and whose needs are not looked into by the people in authority end up engaging in activities or behavior that contradicts the requirements of the society.

The school learning environment is a place where children go to get educations and to learn all sorts of good mannerism. It however turns out that children get negatively affected by their fellow children in school. Some develop deviant behaviors after watching their peer behaviors.

Attitude essay

The best way to begin an attitude essay is by defining attitude. An attitude is what is used to describe the way an individual thinks. Basically, an attitude is an expression of one’s ideas and the individual’s concepts of wrongs and rights and also the individual’s aspirations. Yet another way to define attitude is that it is the totality of an individual. So are attitudes nurtured or natured? Well the answer to this question is both. Some of the aspects of an individual’s attitude are inborn and some other aspects develop according to the environment in which one grows. The things that an individual grows with always influence the individual’s personal thinking in one way or another and therefore the individual’s attitude. However, as the individual grows, he develops out of his shell and develops his own independent attitudes about several things. Even though at the stage when a person has grown into an adult, some alterations may take place in accordance to the needs of the individual at any particular time, the individual’s basic thinking and attitude always remains constant just as it was when the individual was being groomed for the life that he is leading. Therefore, as much as some minor changes in one’s attitude during adulthood, the basics that an individual grew up with actually never change. It is common saying that an individual is usually defined by his attitude. This statement is very accurate because one an attitude has developed in an individual, the individual is likely to have that attitude for the rest of his life; this is unless something big causes the person to change their attitude.

An essay on how the Neolithic revolution impact ancient civilization

History is indeed an interesting subject because it entails looking back at some of the important people and important events that shaped the world as it is known today. The writing experts at this website too love to write about historical events and are always ready to write for you quality essays just as the brief sample below of an essay on how the Neolithic revolution impact ancient civilizationThe roots of the Neolithic revolution can be traced back to around 8000 BC when numerous human cultures started depending on domestic animals and cultivated crops for their source of food. By the 7000 BC several townships of a population of around 1000 individuals were able to rely on sedentary agriculture to provide then with sufficient food. By 3500 BC the first forms of civilizations appeared in the Middle East. It is still uncertain as to whet really caused humans to make the sudden shift from hunting and gathering to keeping domesticated animals and growing crops. The first plants to be domesticated by man were the wild grains namely wheat and barley which were common in many of the reasons in the Middle East. The transition from hunting and gathering to growing plants took place gradually over some period of time. It is only after more varieties of crops were grown that the final shift from hunting and gathering took place. Roughly at the same time period that domestication of wild plants was taking place; the agricultural societies began domesticating animals. Some of the first animals to be domesticated included goats’ sheep, dogs and pigs at around 8500 BC while cattle, which are more aggressive and faster than the other animals were included into the agricultural system at around 6500 BC. Domesticated animals improved the protein supplies while at the same time providing wool for clothing materials and increased the process of adding manure on agricultural land. The greater efforts to expand agricultural systems enabled the shift to sedentary communities unworkable for many groupings. The communities that were still practicing hunting and gathering and those communities that were practicing agriculture still continued to coexist. Some communities, owing to their dependence on domesticated animals, continued to thrive as pastoralists. Pastoralist communities appeared to thrive in areas that were too arid to support large societies of famers. One notable thing among the communities that were pastoralists is that these communities were strongly militarized. During the period referred to as the period of Neolithic revolution (8000BC – 5000 BC) the agricultural production systems spread from the Middle East to Indian and Europe. In Egypt, the cultivation of plants began to spread downwards along the Nile. By 2000BC, the area south of the Sahara had developed its own independent agricultural system although most of the crops that these people grew were root crops and tree crops.

A diamond personality

What is diamond? Some would ask, diamond is a mineral that is shiny and one of the hardest minerals to break it is used for jewelry and also used as ends of drills due to its hard nature and does not easily break. Diamonds are found in different colours in different parts of the world most are coluorless but others are blue or oink. A diamond personality is one that is hard and very difficult to be changed. A person with such a personality is one whose opinions and character cannot be changed easily such a person is one who is blessed and cursed at the same time. Blessed in that such a person in that such as person cannot be swayed by other peoples influences and stands his ground no matter what he is a person of strong opinions and therefore cannot be easily be mislead by others to follow their opinions and influence. This is a person who will stand by his decision no matter what and will not let anyone try and convince him others this are the kind of people who should work in places like being judges or be appointed in offices where corruption is rampant. a person with strong convictions cannot be bribed or forced to change hid decisions to favor those that he believes do not deserve such comforts. People with diamond personality are rare to find as most people are easily convinced if the opinions of others seem more correct than their own opinions. People with diamond personality are also disadvantaged in that even when they are wrong they do not accept it and rather see that their actions and opinions are superior and better than other peoples. This people even when they make a mistake they cannot admit it and therefore they cannot be changed as they are headstrong and stubborn and are not willing to be corrected and therefore they go on with their behavior thinking that what they are doing is the correct actions and this can finally get them into trouble with the law as they go on with their reckless behavior without the care that they are breaking the rules and regulations of their surrounding. So having such a personality can be both a great blessing and also a great curse so one has to know which side they are supposed to stand on. Having unchangeable convictions is good to some extent and also very bad to some other extent.
