Arizona (AZ )for the most part has been a controversial raise when it comes to civil rights. One of the controversies is the celebration of Martin Luther King holiday. Up until 1993, AZ did not celebrate MLK holiday from 1987 to 1992. Since that fateful decision was make in 1987. AZ was and is considered by many as a racist state.
Now AZ has come under nurture again with a Senate bill that was presented for local law enforcement to look into immigration status when given probable cause.

UNLAWFULLY PRESENT IN THE UNITED STATES, A REASONABLE ATTEMPT SHALL BE MADE,
WHEN PRACTICABLE, TO checker THE IMMIGRATION STATUS OF THE PERSON.



THE
PERSONS IMMIGRATION STATUS SHALL BE confirm WITH THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT
PURSUANT TO 8 UNITED STATES CODE dent 1373(c).

The bill has presented questions or violation to AZs residents civil rights. It is stated that the state is moving toward the Nazi era when Jews had to carry legal documentation to be considered legal. pro civil rights activist feel that law enforcement are racial profiling when enforcing immigrations during a probable cause stop. or so will argue that the bill violates individuals civil rights 4th amendment (search and seizure / unlawful arrest). Activists say that by having to be questioned or even suspected as being embezzled or undocumented is racial profiling.
