I dont think I would perpetually find any form of physical penalization at lapplace justifiable. In my opinion, agreeing with the employers custom of such forms of penalty to make employees organise, would be no different than going venture and agreeing to the work practices during the times of slavery. Things work out better if employees work willing and honestly for an organization. If the employee exhibits unethical character, then the employee certainly deserves punishment, and that punishment could a warning letter, or even firing the employee, and if it is a greater offence, then the employer could sue the employee, and the law enforcers would take of the punishment. If the employer is not satisfied with his employees performance, he could just talk to him/her astir(predicate) it, suggest solutions, and the employer is still not happy after a period of time, he could as well sack the employee, barely that doesnt mean employers could use punishment to foreshorten their work done. We all live in a free world, and I see no place, nor any justification for the use of punishment at workplace.

2) I dont think approximately managers use punishment as a tool to get their work done, not physical punishment at least. The managers that use punishment do so to make their employees work harder and harder by force, for their own selfish motives.
