I was innate(p)(p) in Palo Alto, California June 21, 1989 and I am Persian. My parents came here(predicate) cardinal years ago with my older sister when she was two. I am American born but because my parents and many of my family members moved here from Iran, I sprightliness pixilatedly that immigrants have every compensate to be here just as individual born here does. Being elevated in this area, I have had friends with different backgrounds and because of this I feel like Ive become a very broad-minded and mature individual. Without immigrants and their children following, our country would not be as diverse as it is today. However, due to the racial discrimination of our past and the still occurring racism today we havent become one community. by and by I read the book The Accidental American, it opened my eyeball more to how life changed after 9-11. The book explains how Muslims were treated after 9-11 and how immigrants are looked at in our country.

After the attack on new-fashioned York City, all Muslims and anyone who appeared to be Muslim would be looked at with a bit more suspicion/ fear. Having someone suspect you of creation affiliated with terrorists just because of the ethnicity of those volume who did those attacks is wrong. Being Middle Eastern, I felt like people wouldnt talk just about the terrorists race around me because they felt like I was the same nationality as them. Even sometimes when people have what nationality I am and I say that Im Persian, they say O is that from Iraq. I am a strong person and these comments from ignorant people dont move me but it just hurts knowing that a lot of people in the United States arent aware of how this could make someone feel.
