Societal Evolution

In chapter 4, I was so amazed at discipline how our troupe has assortmentd and evolved throughout our worlds history. Todays society is so different than it was many years ago. We are so full of technology and are food and necessities are made readily to us. I would say that I conform to with Gerhard Lenski, he is so on point with how he believes that change in our society occurs as we gain new technology. The more than technology we gain, the more we bewilder educated and functional in my belief. If we didnt have computers nowadays we would be able to take for up with our high paced society. Technology is the foundation of many of our lives and careers to a degree. Lenski explains that the more technology that society has the more it faster it willing change. I agree with what he says, because as more and more technology is formed we are able to save lives, drag more factories and in general our way of living.
Gerhard Lenski, believes that society changes as it acquires new technology. He has identified societies based on the level of technology.



He has them grouped into 5 different types which are as follows:
Hunting and gathering societies
Horticultural and pastoral societies
Agrarian societies
industrial societies
Postindustrial societies
Hunting and gathering societies was the first type of whole man kind. All humans were hunter gathers. Karl Marx argues that early hunting and gathering societies were based on communism and that the society began to become less equal as it moved forward on the modern society. Karl Marx stressed social conflict. He divided society into two different categories. He had them in capitalist and proletarian. He believes that the production of material objects is what shapes the different aspects of our society. Where Lenski believes it is also. Karl Marx also states that he thinks capitalist economy failed to meet the requirements of our needs, where goo Weber considers capitalism the essence of rationality.(Works cited)
