English Renaissance field is sometimes called Elizabethan theatre-which occurred between the Reformation and the closure of the theatres in 1558-1603. It includes the drama of William Shakespeare, Christopher Marlowe and numerous other world-famous playwrights.

1576a theatrical entrepreneur called James Burbage decided to profit on the growing popularity of plays. James Burbage obtained a lease and liberty to build The Theatre in, London. The Theatre was built in a similar entitle to the Roman Coliseum, but on a smaller scale.
Women go to plays, though often the prosperous woman would wear a mask to disguise her identity. Further, no women performed in the plays. Female roles were in general performed by young boys. the plays of Shakespeare, the tragic hero is always a noble man who enjoys some status and prosperity in society but possesses some moral weakness or flaw which leads to his downfall.
There were three different types of venues for Elizabethan plays: Inn-yards, easy air Amphitheatres and Playhouses.



These theatres could hold several thousand people, most stand in the open pit before the stage, though ample nobles could watch the play from a chair set on the side of the stage itself.
Life of Elizabethan:
Religion and ethics became matters of state law and potential sources of rebellion; although sin and law-breaking were usually dealt with by different courts. The punishment depended on the crime committed, and the price was usually a painful one.
