dering, both academically and in general, as America demanded that I prove myself anew individually time I got up in the morning.
Yet it was this very demand that taught me the true benefit of studying in America.
By digging in and fighting I turned my grades around sufficiently to be chosen as a bloodline studies teaching assistant. I landed a job as a clerical assistant at the Smartshop, the only student-run rail line on my college campus. Here I finally met the daily crush of retail business, the hard work that I would never earn learned as my father's protege. But this time, rather than being discouraged, I was energized, inspired, and eager for more. I seized an opportunity to get in on the ground floor of our new Entrepreneurial Center as coordinator. Meeting so many speakers and presenters taught me much about networking.
